A Note of Thanks
I would like to offer my thanks to everyone in North Carolina, who has tirelessly worked fighting the Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge fire. This fire began on June 1, due to a lightning strike. Hundreds of firefighters and volunteers have devoted their time trying to save as much of the wildlife refuge as possible. Although over 40,000 acres have burned, they continue to do everything they can to fight the fire. This area is home to numerous critters, some endangered. This is an area that I have been to photographing wildlife, and it is truly a special place.
